i may be bad but i'm perfectly good at it

i went to taroko gorge on the east side of taiwan. took 6 hours to get there. how is that even possible in this little country?

we rented a scooter for super cheap and drove through the gorge. it was awesome

que colores tan pretty!
The area we went to has native taiwanese people who could be our polynesian ancestors!

traditional village style
rice cooked in lil bamboo rods
I got my chinese name. It's Mi Kai Ping. i'm officialy chinese!

at the hostel there were a lot of cool americans. some were from West Point and they seemed like really good people. gives me hope for our country

american in a nutshell (as the asians see it)
another reason why taiwan is awesome - i had a small bike service done and they charged me three bucks. i asked them to do more services and they did everything on the spot and wouldn’t accept the extra money i offered them.

no nickel and diming here (as opposed to utah and jersey.) asians understand loyalty

i wonder how american businesses even survive here
holy holy holy
On April fools day, Google added david hasselhof to some of my pictures. that is why google is my new favorite company

tuesday when i started teaching i asked 2 of the students why they were standing.
they said as a punishment they had to stand all week. at first i thought it was funny.
whichever student made this tellytubby gets an A
then i remembered they are in school 12+ hours a day and even go to school on saturday. can you imagine standing all that time?

potions class. not really it's food
